Step by step

How food cart hire works

Hiring a food cart for your event is simple: you tell us what you need, we send a fixed quote and we take care of the rest. Here is how we work, what is included and what the venue needs.

The process

Six steps, from enquiry to collection

  1. Tell us about your event

    Date, times, venue, guest numbers, the carts you like and whether you want your brand.

  2. Fixed quote

    With availability, expected servings, branding and what is included. No obligation.

  3. Booking

    Confirmed with a 50% advance payment by invoice. We ask for set-up and contact details.

  4. Branding

    We send the templates, you approve the proof and we produce the panels and packaging.

  5. Set-up and service

    We arrive early, set up in under an hour for most carts and serve for the hours booked.

  6. Collection

    At the end we dismantle and take everything away. You do not have to clean anything.

What is included

What food cart hire includes

Branding and extra hours are quoted separately. Everything else is included.

Delivery, set-up and collection

Always included in the quote. They vary with the event location.

Consumables and packaging

Ingredients, packaging and tableware for the hours or servings booked.

Operator

On most carts, an operator prepares and serves. A few, such as the slush cart, do not need one.

Allergen sheets

Each cart has an ingredients and allergens sheet, available on request.

Requirements

What the cart needs at the venue

  • Power. Almost all run on a standard 230 V socket. Cooking carts such as hot dog, pizza or burger use more: if there is a generator, we give you each cart's power rating.
  • Space. The cart's footprint plus one metre in front for the queue. Each cart page has its dimensions.
  • Access. They are on wheels, but need step-free access or a lift or goods lift.
  • Outdoors. They can go outside if covered or protected from rain. If the cart stays for several days, it needs supervision.
  • Schedules. At trade fairs and conference centres we work around the venue's build-up times.

Booking

How to book a food cart

You can book at short notice if we have availability, but we recommend booking a month ahead, especially if you want branding or special colours, as some consumables take a few days to arrive.

The booking is confirmed with a 50% payment by invoice. To organise it we need:

  • set-up day and time, and event start time;
  • exact address and how to access it;
  • name and phone number of the on-site contact;
  • billing details for the invoice.

The booking guarantees the cart exclusively for that date. If the event was outdoors and it rains, or if the whole event is cancelled, we refund the booking.

Common questions

How long does set-up take?

Most carts are set up in under an hour. The slush cart also needs two or three hours for the machine to chill, so we arrive earlier.

Can we move the cart during the event?

Yes, they are on wheels. Just unplug before moving it and plug it back in at its new spot.

What if the servings run out?

We calculate consumables based on hours and guests. If the event runs over, we can extend on the spot if we are available.

Do you work outside Barcelona too?

Yes, all over Spain. Many of our events are outside Barcelona: Madrid, Bilbao, Zaragoza, Lleida, Girona, Tarragona and more.
