Wedding food carts

Wedding food carts fill the moments when a party can dip: the wait between ceremony and dinner, the late-night snack or the time when children get bored. They have a vintage look that photographs beautifully and can be personalised with your names and the date.

When to have it

A cart for every moment of the wedding

At the drinks reception

Aperol Spritz, charcuterie or fresh orange juice while the couple's photos are taken.

Late-night snacks

Hot dogs, mini burgers, pizza or fries when the dance floor has been busy for hours.

For the kids

Coloured popcorn and candy floss: a corner that keeps them busy while the grown-ups dine.

In summer

Artisan or soft-serve ice cream and slush for hot-weather weddings.

Ideas

Which food carts work best at a wedding

It depends on the moment and the style of wedding. At an afternoon wedding in a country estate, an artisan ice cream cart at the drinks reception is a winner. At an evening wedding, the late-night snack is the big moment: the hot dog cart or mini burger cart empties in minutes.

If there are lots of children, the popcorn cart and candy floss cart work as a kids' area: they come over, pick a colour and stay busy for a good while. For the adults, the Aperol Spritz cart gives the reception an Italian terrace feel.

Personalisation and logistics at weddings

  • Your names. A sign with your names and the date, and printed boxes or cones if you want a keepsake for guests (runs from around 1,000 units).
  • Wedding colours. Sweet popcorn and candy floss to match the decor.
  • Space. The cart plus a metre in front. At country estates and gardens, under cover or with rain protection.
  • Power. A standard 230 V socket for almost every cart. If the venue runs on a generator, we give you the power rating.
  • Coordination. We liaise with the caterer or venue on set-up time and location.

We also work at first communions and other family celebrations: the logistics are the same.

Numbers

How many carts to have at your wedding

Each cart serves a number of portions per hour: popcorn, about 60 boxes; candy floss, up to 60 servings; hot dogs or mini burgers, about 50. That gives you a quick estimate. For a wedding of 100 guests, one sweet cart and one savoury cart are usually enough for a couple of hours. For 200 or more, it is worth doubling up or bringing the XXL Cart.

Not every guest will eat from every cart. Think about the moment: at the reception people nibble, at the late-night snack everyone is hungry. We help you fine-tune hours and servings so there is neither too much nor too little.

Wedding questions

When is the best time to have the cart?

Sweet carts and drinks at the reception or for the kids. Savoury ones for the late-night snack, once the party is in full swing.

Do we need to tell the wedding venue?

Yes, it is best to. We coordinate with the venue or caterer on set-up and location.

Can you put our names on the cart?

Yes, with a sign or personalised panels. Also on printed boxes or cones.

Does it work outdoors?

Yes, under cover or with rain protection. If the wedding was outdoors and it rains, we refund the booking.

How far ahead should we book?

In wedding season, as early as possible. We recommend at least a month, more if you want personalised packaging.
